After much anticipation, Xiaomi has launched its new premium smartphones, Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 which come with some amazing features while sporting an affordable price tag.
Both smartphones come with a beautiful design with a glass back and 6.39 inches of an all screen AMOLED display with 2340 x 1080 pixels of screen resolution. For the first time ever, Xiaomi has introduced pop-up cameras in its smartphones which provide more screen space to the users.
The Pro variant features Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset while the standard Redmi K20 is the first smartphone to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset. Both phones will come with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM along with 64/128/256GB of internal storage.
Redmi K20 Pro and Redmi K20 also have a triple camera setup at the back but the difference does not lie in the megapixel count but in the lens. The Pro model comes with a 48MP main camera featuring Sony IMX586 sensor, 13MP ultra-wide lens, and 8MP telephoto lens.
The standard K20 variant offers a 48MP main camera featuring Sony IMX582 sensor, 13MP ultra-wide lens, and 8MP telephoto lens. Unfortunately, neither phones offer optical image stabilization so you will have to keep your hands stable while taking pictures with this phone.
While the two phones also have the same battery capacity, 4000mAh, Redmi K20 Pro offers a 27-watt fast charging while Redmi K20 comes with 18-watt fast charging feature. The smartphones have only been launched in China at the moment where the K20 Pro’s price starts from $361 while the standard K20 will be available from $289 depending upon the RAM and storage capacity.
