After introducing Redmi Note 7 and Redmi 7 for the smartphone users, the Chinese smartphone maker has introduced a new budget Xiaomi Redmi 7A device which is the direct successor of last year’s Redmi 6A.
Xiaomi Redmi 7A features a notch-less display and thus comes with slightly big bezels at the front. It has a pretty seamless design and offers a 5.45-inch HD+ display (720 x 1540 pixels) which according to the company have a better response and improved blue-light filtering as compared to the predecessor.
The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 chipset which offers 26% performance boost over Redmi 6A’s Helio A22 chipset. It will be available in two variants; one with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage and the other with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
In the camera department, it comes with a 13MP rear lens and a 5MP shooter at the front for taking selfies. It also packs a massive 4000mAh battery which coupled with energy efficient chipset will likely produce lasting battery life. Xiaomi Redmi 7A will also come with Android Pie right out of the box.
We do not know the pricing and release date of the smartphone yet which will be announced on May 28th at the official launch of the Redmi K20 smartphone.
