Xiaomi’s new and heavily leaked flagship, the Xiaomi Mi 9 was launched earlier and now the DxOMark has already reviewed the device and with a score of 107 on the organization’s list, it has beaten all the iPhones and pixels to dust.
However, Xiaomi Mi 9 still sits at third place in the overall ranking by the DxOMark. The first and second spots are reserved by the recent two flagships from Huawei, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, and Huawei P20 Pro respectively. The phone also received a video score of 99 which is the highest ever awarded by DxOMark.
However, it should be noted that this scoring is only for the rear camera of the device. DxOMark is currently reviewing the phone for selfie camera scoring. Currently, Galaxy Note 9 and Google Pixel 3 both share the highest overall score for the best selfie camera.
The organization praised the Xiaomi Mi 9 camera for its amazing white balance and color levels, as well as its quick and efficient autofocus system. On the other hand, it also received some negative points due to lightly limited dynamic range and low contrast.
For those who can’t remember what camera hardware the Xiaomi Mi 9 uses, it packs a triple camera with a 48MP primary lens which is a Sony IMX586 quad-sensor, a 12MP Telephoto lens which is a Samsung S5K3M5 sensor and a Super-wide-angle 16Mp Sony IMX481 sensor.
