One of the most talked about features in the smartphone industry nowadays is the inception of 5G in the upcoming smartphones. Many manufacturers are racing to take lead in this arena but with the launch of Galaxy S10, 5G Samsung has finally shown everyone that it’s the leader in Android smartphones for a good reason.
Owing to the abundant rumors earlier, the phone is everything we hoped for and more. It has the highest specs in the Galaxy S10 series ao it exceeds both the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus as well as the Galaxy S10e in everything including size, weight, and specifications.
The Galaxy S10 5G has an enormous 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a hole for the camera in the upper right corner. Samsung calls it the Infinity-O display. With Samsung’s brilliant design, the phone produces an industry leading 89.4% screen to body ratio.
Let’s talk about what makes it so special than others in the lineup; 5G connectivity. As Samsung claims, due to the blazing fast connectivity on the Galaxy S10 5G, you’ll be able to download an entire season of a TV show just in minutes and also take part in 4K calls.
The Galaxy S10 will initially be available exclusively to Verizon. The device should be available on AT&T, Spectrum Mobile, Sprint, T-Mobile and Xfinity Mobile later in the summer. However, there is no word on the pricing of the phone just yet.
The device also has a larger battery capacity than others in the lineup and packs a massive 4,500mAh. Galaxy S10 5G also supports other flashy features like its counterparts, such as the 25W Fast charging and wireless power share that lets you charge other compatible devices by placing them on your phone.
Perfect Combo of RAM and Memory
The galaxy S10 comes with Exynos 9820 as well as Qualcomm 855. Paired with an 8GB RAM along with a 256 GB memory, it is destined to give you the performance never seen before on any flagship, as claims the company. On the downside, the galaxy S10 5G only has a single SIM slot and also does not sport a microSD card slot so you have to settle for the 256GB storage that comes out of the box.
Quad Camera Setup
One of the most substantial upgrades that the Galaxy S10 series received, is the camera. The Galaxy S10 5G version went a little overboard when it comes to camera tech. It comes with a quad-camera setup. Just like its younger siblings the three cameras are a 12MP wide angle sensor, another 12MP Telephoto lens, and a 16MP ultra wide angle lens. Besides these three, it also packs a fourth 3D ToF camera.
On the front, it packs a dual camera with a 10 MP lens that has f/1.9 aperture and a 26mm wide focal length. Additionally, there is also a TOF camera on the front.
Samsung claims that the inclusion of a 3D ToF camera will improve portrait mode in the camera (which Samsung calls the Live Focus). Furthermore, it will also enable the user to experience a better and more accurate augmented reality than the currently prevailing smartphones.
