Elevating selfie cameras are all the hype nowadays and Vivo, the Chinese smartphone maker which started this trend in 2018 is ready to take the game to the next level. According to recent rumors, the company is gearing up to launch a dual pop-up selfie camera in its upcoming Vivo V17 smartphone.
Let us clarify, there won’t be two different cameras popping up from the smartphone from different points instead, the dual camera as a whole will rise up to take selfies. The second camera will probably be the depth sensor to help take better bouquet shots or an ultrawide lens (our money is on the former).
Furthermore, the smartphone is also tipped to launch with quad rear cameras for photography. Apart from the number of cameras, we do not know much about the specs of the upcoming mid-range device but that’s not the same for the low-cost variant of the series.
The specs of Vivo V17 Neo have surfaced in a Google Play console listing and the phone will be coming with Helio P65 chipset which recently debuted with Vivo S1 smartphone. Other specs include an all-screen display with halo notch, 1080 x 2340 pixels of screen resolution, 480DPI pixel density, 4GB RAM and FunTouch OS 9 based on Android Pie.
Reportedly, the company will be discontinuing V15 (Review) and V15 Pro, the mid-range series launched earlier this year and may replace it with Vivo V17 and Vivo V17 Neo. The company has yet to release an official launch date but according to 91mobiles, the new V17 series will make their debut before the Diwali festival.
