Vivo launched its much anticipated Vivo Nex Series last month in Shanghai China. It includes the Nex S, which is the high-end variant of the phone and Nex A, that is a low priced and slightly lo powered variant in the lineup. The phone features an insanely high screen to body ratio and a pop-up selfie camera.
The phone proved a huge success in its homeland and was sold out in just 4 hours of its availability. Now the company has announced in a press release that the phone will set out to sell globally at the end of this month.
The company has confirmed that it will start selling the phone to Hong Kong, Taiwan, Russia, India, and Malaysia. However, neither has Vivo precisely set the release date of the Vivo Nex in these markets nor has it confirmed the price for the said countries.
Vivo Nex comes as the first phone to offer a motorized solution for enhancing the screen estate. Oppo Find X also follows the queue and now according to the leaks, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is also said to come with a pop-up camera just like the Vivo Nex.
As for the specs, the phone has two variants. The higher variant, Nex s houses a Snapdragon 845 chipset with 8GB of RAM and comes with a 256GB of onboard storage and also sports an in-display fingerprint scanner. A huge 4000 mAh battery is there to juice up the phone all day long.
The other version of the phone, Vivo Nex A, includes a midrange Snapdragon 710 processor with 6GB RAM and 128 GB storage while it supports a traditional fingerprint scanner, located on the back.
The high-end version currently sells in China for 4,998 Yuan ($780) and the midrange version sells for 3,998 Yuan ($605).
