Being the first of its kind in bringing a new approach to bezel-less phones, Vivo wowed the world with its first iteration of Vivo Nex in which the company used a motorized camera to help achieve edge to edge screen. Fast forward to today and Vivo Nex 2 official teaser confirms triple-camera setup and a secondary display for the device.
While Huawei is using the hole in the display to achieve a high screen to body ratio, Vivo has taken it up further with dual screens, an edge to edge panel on the front while a smaller panel on the back.
It is, however, unclear if the front motorized camera will make its way to Vivo Nex 2 because a secondary display pretty much fulfills the need of a selfie camera so there is a good chance that the phone will come without a front-facing camera.
Though it’s still not confirmed what the phone will be called, we can safely assume it to be called the Vivo Nex 2. The device houses an in-display sensor just like its predecessor.
The main attraction of the device is the double screen. While the front is a bezel-less display having industry’s highest screen to body ratio, as GizmoChina reports, the back of the phone hosts a smaller display with huge bezels. There is no selfie camera in the phone so the selfies would have to be taken using the primary back cameras.
Top-of-the-line specifications are expected to be present in the device including the Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8150 along with up to 10GB RAM. If the teaser really is accurate, we expect to see a launch date of the device in a couple of weeks.
