Samsung is seemingly focusing more on its budget-friendly A series which it introduced a while ago for competing with the Chinese brands who have toppled the Korean company in the entry-level and mid-range price category.
Samsung Galaxy A10s is the sequel to earlier popular phone Galaxy A10. The newer version comes with some minor updates in specifications. It appears to be the similar phone an enhancement in the camera department as the latest version comes with a dual-camera (13MP + 2MP), unlike the single rear camera in simple A10. Similarly, the battery in the A10s has been elevated from 3400 mAh to 4000 mAh.
However, the latest version is not getting a good response from customers the way earlier version received. Mobile phone sellers are referring to a higher price as the reason which is discouraging buyers who are looking for some other budget-friendly options.
Reports are coming that Samsung is likely to reduce the price of Galaxy A10s in a few days from PKR 23,999 to somewhere around PKR 21,000.
The entry-level segment is busy with tons of options from Chinese phone makers, Tecno and Infinix being the new ones to add the value with their feature-rich phones at a meager price. Their recent Tecno Spark Go comes at mere PKR 13,000, and similarly, Tecno Camon i4 offers a triple camera setup at PKR 21,499.
Samsung has already stopped the supply of older versions of A-series; instead, it is now banking more on the latest iteration that comes with an ‘s’ in the name. A10s, A20s, A30s, A40s up till A90s are part of the newer series.
