Samsung is rumored to be working on a 5G smartphone for the masses known as Galaxy A90 5G which has surfaced on Geekbench reaffirming the rumors about the affordable 5G device by Samsung.
The device sports model number SM-A908N and will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, 6GB of RAM and Android Pie right out of the box.
It will be the first time that Samsung will be using a flagship chipset in a mid-range smartphone but seeing that 5G connectivity is possible only on flagship SoCs like Exynos 9820 and Snapdragon 855, the South Korean smartphone maker hardly has any choice in the matter.
With a flagship chipset under the hood, Galaxy A90 5G will surely be a powerful smartphone. Since Galaxy A80 offers an 8GB RAM, the lower 6GB RAM on Galaxy A90 5G seems like a downgrade but there is a possibility of more than one variants of the new device.
There is also a possibility that Samsung deliberately included 6GB RAM in its try to bring down the cost of Galaxy A90 5G smartphone. Other rumors suggest that the upcoming 5G phone will also come with 6.7 inches of FHD+ Infinity-U Super AMOLED display, in-display fingerprint sensor and 4,500 mAh battery.
It is also expected to come with triple 48MP + 12MP + 5MP cameras and a full view display without a notch or a cutout. Moreover, the company will also be bringing a 4G variant of the smartphone for its users.
