Earlier this year, Samsung also jumped on the pop-up camera bandwagon with its innovative Galaxy A80 mid-range smartphone and the company is finally ready to introduce it in the Pakistani market.
The smartphone though launched in April 2019, went on sale in the selected markets across the globe including Malaysia, Central America, Africa, and Europe on 1st July and would be coming to Pakistan in the coming weeks.
Galaxy A80 is very different from other phones in the pop-up camera market as the phone uses its main cameras at the back for taking selfies. Confused? Let us explain how it works.
- When the front camera is summoned, a slider will pop out from the top of the smartphone
- Simultaneously, the rear cameras will flip towards the front to take a picture
The spring-loaded rotate mechanism allows the smooth transition between the rear and front cameras. Moreover, with a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a TOF sensor, you can be sure that your selfies will turn out great.
Without a notch and cutout, Galaxy A80 offers a full-screen display which is 6.7 inches in size and comes with 1080 x 2400 pixels of screen resolution. The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 chipset coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
It also packs a 3700mAh battery sporting 25W Super Fast Charging and runs on One UI based on Android Pie. It will likely be available in all three colors, Angel Gold, Ghost White, and Phantom Black offered by Samsung.
Galaxy A80 will be the sixth smartphone from the Galaxy A series in Pakistan after the arrival of Galaxy A10 (Review), Galaxy A20 (Review), Galaxy A30 (Review), Galaxy A50, and Galaxy A70 in the last few months.
