Redmi X was first considered to be what turned out as the Redmi Note 7 but that doesn’t hinder the fact that another poster has leaked on Weibo about the launch of Redmi X. Though it doesn’t come from the official Xiaomi account, it states that the phone will be launched on February 15.
The poster also hints that the Redmi X will be the first Redmi phone to come with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
Redmi X is also rumored to have a more powerful processor than the Redmi Note 7. It’s also gossiped that the phone will come as the Pro version of already launched Note 7. Keep in mind that the Redmi Note 7 Pro is already scheduled to launch with a Snapdragon 675 and a 48MP camera which will make it the first Redmi phone with such a high-resolution camera using a Sony sensor instead of a Samsung one.
So it might be fairly possible that the Redmi X is actually going to be the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Since the launch poster has not been officially released by Redmi, we advise you to take it with a grain of salt and wait for official confirmation to know whether the Redmi X phone really exists or not.
With all that being said, the Chinese spring festival is just around the corner, starting from February 5 to February 15. So, it would be a great time for the company to launch any phone as the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 pro was also launched on February 14.
