Every new day bring new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL leaks that indicate how the upcoming phones by Google will look like, what they will feature and what new the phones will come with. The latest rumours suggest that Google may launch the new Pixel series phones with Active Edge.
Active Edge was the feature first introduced in Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL phones. This feature utilised pressure when the users squeezed the sides of the phones and and turned that into an action whether to launch an app or put the phone on silent.
According to the leaks Google is planning to bring this Active Edge feature back on its upcoming Pixel series phones that may release a bit later this year. With all this said, this may not be the case, but the feature was well-received so there is no reason to kill this feature in the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL devices.
With this first leak on the Active Edge feature, hopes are there will be further leaks discussing the details of the feature. It’s not yet confirmed whether the Active Edge feature will work the way it did in Pixel 2 series phones or Google will make changes to the feature.
It’s also reported Google is working to release three or four versions of its new Android P beta and with these multiple versions, we may expect Google to tweak Active Edge and make it more integrated, powerful and acceptable for the Pixel phone users.
