HMD Global has just unveiled its latest smartphone, Nokia X6. The phone launches on the same day as the OnePlus 6 and it’s the first phone from Nokia to sport a notch on the display.
As predicted by the leaks Nokia X6 features a 5.8-inch FHD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The display is 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass having slim bezels on the sides. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC.
The primary camera comprises of a dual setup with 16 MP + 5 MP sensors. The camera also offers Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), HDR and a bokeh mode. AI integration in the camera helps to recognize objects and deliver better results. The front-facing camera features a 16 MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and has Face Unlock and AI aspects like bokeh effects and stickers.
HMD Global says that it is committed to the Chinese market, and has further announced that they will set up a global mobile center at Shenzhen in China, which will focus on research.
Amid the ambiguity that whether the device will be available globally or not, the company’s Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas took to Twitter to address the matter.

The phone comes with 4/6GB of RAM and 32/64 GB memory options. Nokia X6 cherishes a 3060 mAh battery supported by Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 which means that device may charge from 0% to 50% in just 30 mins, claims HMD Global.
The price of Nokia X6 starts at CNY 1,299 for 4GB/32GB and the 4GB/64GB version will retail at CNY 1,499 while 6GB/64GB variant carries a price tag of CNY 1,699.
