Nokia X6 was launched earlier in May in China but Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer of HMD Global couldn’t keep himself from hinting at the global launch of the phone. The phone, afterward appeared on the Italian version of Nokia Site and Indian support page, indicating that a Global launch is imminent. Now, according to the recent revelations, the company is set to launch to launch the phone globally as Nokia 6.1 Plus along with another handset, Nokia 5.1 Plus.
According to the reports, Nokia 6.1 is going to be an Android One device and will be unleashed first in the Hong Kong, after which it will infiltrate other markets.
The phone will be an upper mid-range device with a notched display of 5.8-inches. The Chinese version of hosts a Snapdragon 636 chipset and comes with 6 GB RAM accompanied by 64 GB memory or a 4GB RAM coupled with a 32GB memory.
Along with the 6.1 Plus, the company also intends to release an updated version of the already launched Nokia 5.1 which will be hailed as the 5.1 Plus. Earlier in June, the renders for the phone also surfaced online and providing with a detailed look of the phone.
According to the TENAA listings, the Nokia 5.1 Plus is going to host either Helio P60 or a Snapdragon 600 series processor along with a 3/4 GB RAM and 32/64 GB storage options. Renders of the phone also reveal it to come with a notch in the display and a dual camera setup at its back.
Nokia 6.1 Plus is expected to launch on July 19 while the 5.1 Plus is eyed to launch on July 11. Being the Android One device, Nokia 6.1 Plus will become a prime candidate for the earliest updates from Google.
