While Samsung is all set to take the smartphone world by storm with its Galaxy S10 launch on February 20, a few days later HMD Global seems ready to debut the Nokia 9 Pureview on MWC 2019. A recent leak that shows the press renders of the phone has added to the excitement around the handset.
Though Nokia has not been much of a heavy hitter when it comes to flagship segment, that’s about to change with the much-awaited Nokia 9. While other manufacturers have been displaying their camera prowess with a triple camera and quad-camera setup in their devices, Nokia has taken a frog leap and has added 5 cameras in the upcoming device which makes it more intriguing.
91 mobiles shared the alleged press renders of the device but the renders don’t provide anything new that we haven’t seen up till now. These renders have also lead us to believe that this might actually be the final design of the device and if it is, it’ll prove a joy for the notch haters.
The five cameras on the device form a circular pattern on the back of the device along with a flash and a laser autofocus module.
Since there is no visible fingerprint scanner on either the back or the front of the device, this implies that the company has included an in-display fingerprint scanner in the phone. Another interesting thing is that Nokia did not feel like jumping on the notch bandwagon and instead went for the bezels approach while keeping the aspect ratio pretty modern.
While some may find this absurd, this is certainly a wind of change in a market of similar looking devices, no matter what manufacturer they are from. As the specs of the Nokia 9 PureView go, the device is rumored to come with a Snapdragon 845 along with 6GB RAM but take these rumors with a pinch of salt.
