HMD Global is finally picking up on the recent trend of an elevating front camera and will be launching the new feature in Nokia 8.2 smartphone.
According to the latest rumor, the company will be offering a bezel-less display (without a notch or a cutout) in its upcoming phone by including a 32MP motorized pop-up selfie camera. It is a piece of good news from the company which didn’t even part with huge bezels in its flagship Nokia 9 Pureview device.
Reportedly, Nokia 8.2 will also come with the latest Android Q operating system which makes us believe that HMD global will likely announce the new device by the end of 2019 or early 2020.
Other specs of the smartphone include an 8GB RAM and a 256GB of internal storage. As of now, we are still in the dark whether the Finish smartphone company will introduce other variants of Nokia 8.2 in the future or not.
Moreover, there is also no news about what chipset will be included in the upcoming smartphone. If Nokia 8.2 will pick up from its predecessor, Nokia 8.1, it may come with a chipset from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 700 series but at the same time, it is also a chance for HMD Global to offer its first phone with flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset.
Recently, Nokia smartphones have undergone a major price cut in Pakistan especially Nokia 8.1 (50% decrease in price) but we have to wait and see whether the upcoming Nokia 8.2 will be able to compete against other pop-up camera smartphones like OPPO F11 Pro (Review), Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 (Review), Vivo V15 (Review) and V15 Pro in the country.
