5G is the new and hot trend in the smartphone industry and even though it does not provide any tangible benefit over LTE, companies are rushing to meet user expectations. LG is also taking a leap of faith in this race and has announced to launch its first 5G phone on February 24.
LG also dropped a few details about the upcoming phone. It will use the Snapdragon 855 SoC, with a large vapor chamber cooling system. The device will also have a considerable large battery with 4000mAh. It seems that LG plans to launch a flagship-grade phone with 5G capabilities.
The name of the device still holds a mystery. We think that either the device will come in V series or G series, both of which are LG’s flagship models. So, the phone might be called LG V50 ThinQ as a successor to V40 or it may be called LG G8 ThinQ, as a successor to LG G7 ThinQ.
