Jazz Pakistan sees over 20% revenue growth in Q2 2019

Jazz Pakistan, the largest telecom operator in Pakistan (based on the number of subscribers) has reported total revenue growth of 20.5% year on year in the second quarter of 2019.

According to the financial results of Q2 2019, Jazz Pakistan has seen a solid growth in its revenue which can be credited to the increased number of telecom users who now rely on mobile data for their internet needs.

This surge in data usage resulted in 58.8% of data revenue growth for Jazz Pakistan in the said time period. Additionally, the number of JazzCash’s (the mobile banking platform of Jazz) subscribers with 30-day active wallet have also increased to 5.7 million, translating into an increase of 36% revenue generated by the company’s financial services.

The overall financial report represents a steady growth of 7.7% from the first quarter of 2019 creating a total revenue of PKR 1.9 billion. The telco is also enjoying a 7.2% increase in its customer base from the same period last year and provides data coverage in more than 225 cities across Pakistan.
