It is an entry-level smartphone which was initially announced at the end of April 2019. It features a 5.71-inch display with 1520 x 720 pixels of screen resolution and a dewdrop notch accompanied with minimum bezels at the sides and a slightly bigger chin.
It is powered by Helio A22 chipset coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. For people who prefer dual SIM and extra storage, Huawei Y5 2019 offers a dedicated slot for microSD card which can expand phone’s storage by upto 512GB.
In the camera department, the phone comes with a 13MP camera at the back while the front has a 5MP shooter for taking selfies. It packs a 3020mAh battery and runs on EMUI 9 based on Android Pie.
It is priced at Rs. 19,999 in the Pakistani market and is available in three colors; Modern Black, Amber Brown, and Sapphire Blue. Out of all the variants, only Sapphire Blue model does not come with a faux leather finish at the back.
It is a recent trend that has started to surface in the Huawei’s budget phones. Recently, it has also introduced a special Huawei Y7 Prime 2019 faux leather edition in Pakistan.
