Nowadays when there are tons of smartphone options in the market with every company launching two to three devices in a single series every year, it is hard to keep track of them all if not for the numerics representing the order of the said phone launch. However, Huawei is breaking away from this norm with Huawei P20 Lite 2019, leaving us all confused.
The naming choice for Huawei’s upcoming phone is bound to create chaos especially due to the fact that the Huawei P20 Lite, as well as its successor, Huawei P30 Lite (Review), are already available on the shelves.
According to WinFuture, Huawei P20 Lite 2019 will come with a 5.84-inch full HD+ LCD screen and a Samsung-inspired punch hole display. It is expected to be powered by Kirin 710 chipset coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.
It will be coming with four cameras at the back featuring a 24MP main camera with f/1.8 main lens, a telephoto, and ultra wide lens. The fourth camera will probably be the ToF sensor we saw in the Huawei P30 Pro. The phone’s price is expected to be between €280 – €330 and will be available in three color options; blue, red, black.
We are still in the dark about the rest of the specs of the device which will probably surface in the coming weeks. This is not the first time the Chinese smartphone giant has used the name of its older device to introduce a new smartphone, let’s recall Huawei P8 Lite 2017 which came with upgraded specs almost two years after the launch of the original phone.
Since these are early reports, it is quite possible that the company might bring Huawei P20 Lite 2019 with a different name in the EMEA markets.
