Huawei confirmed by releasing a teaser earlier that it would launch a smartphone with a hole in the display. The teaser poster shows a phone with a clear indication to the hole that will be used for the camera. Many tipsters from China are claiming that this would be the Huawei Nova 4 launching in December.
Backing up this argument is the real-life picture of the said device that was leaked recently. This mysterious Huawei smartphone was spotted in the hands of a person traveling on a bus. Since the hole in the display is visible, it is speculated that this could be the upcoming Nova 4.
The phone in the picture is covered in a protective cover so its exact dimension and design is very difficult to assume and by the looks of it, we can safely assume that the headphone jack will not be eliminated from the phone. The specs of the phone are not known yet however, it is speculated to come with the latest Kirin 980 chipset from Huawei.
Earlier the company took to its official Weibo account to introduce the launch of a phone with a hole in its display. The published poster suggests that the phone will have a bezel-less display having a cutout for the camera, like the infinity-O, that we are expected to see on Samsung phones in near future like the Galaxy S10.
It remains to be seen whether Huawei beats Samsung in introducing this technology or does Samsung take the lead. Other than that, Huawei is also eyeing to edge out Samsung in releasing the world’s first foldable phone.
