Upcoming Huawei Nova 4 has recently been consuming a lot of space int he news only because of its one unique feature; a hole punched right into the screen. As weird as it may seem, Nova 4 will be the first phone with an in-display camera hole. The company has also announced the official launch date for the device.
The Chinese giant took it to Weibo to announce the official launch date of the device which is scheduled to be held on December 17, as the official poster suggests.
Just like its predecessor, Huawei Nova 3 series, the Nova 4 is all set to make a significant splash in the mid-range category by carrying flagship specs and is expected to launch at a controlled price.
The phone is expected to be powered by the latest Kirin 980 octa-core chipset which is manufactured using the 7nm process, claimed to be the world’s first mobile chipset to do so.
As for the internals, Nova 4 is expected to launch with 6GB and 8GB RAM variants along with 128GB internal memory. On the back, the device hosts a dual camera setup. Though the Nova 3 and Nova 3i carried a dual camera setup also on the front, the single hole in the screen of Nova 4 suggests it will carry a single front-facing camera.
One the software front, Huawei Nova 4 will carry the latest EMUI 9 which will be based on Android 9 Pie out of the box. Detailed specifications of the phone will be unveiled upon the official launch of the phone.
