Huawei Nova 3 has taken the center stage of rumors for a couple of days and leaks are floating out with pretty high frequency. It will be the third generation smartphone of the Nova series, a mid-range line-up by the company. Huawei also released the official teaser of the phone a couple of days back.
Earlier the phone was listed on TENAA which gave out major specs of the phone except for the processor. However, keeping in mind the price range of the past iterations, there was a strong speculation that the phone will sport a lower end processor like the Kirin 659.
A rather surprising leak has just surfaced on the internet that suggests Huawei Nova 3 will house the flagship grade Kirin 970. A processor that also supports the company’s high-end flagships like the P20 Pro and Mate 10 Pro. Upper mid-range phones like the Honor 10 also support the same chipset.
The leak came from ITHome, a renowned Chinese outlet according to which, Huawei Nova 3 might not be a mid-range phone as you may have thought if you have come across any of its predecessors.
The leak presents an impressive spec sheet. Besides the Kirin 970 running at 2.4 GHz, the phone will come with 6GB RAM along with 128 GB of internal memory, will have body dimensions of 157 x 73.7 x 7.3 mm and will only weigh 166 grams which is pretty light considering that it will host a 6.3-inch display.
As earlier leaks suggest, the notched display will come with an FHD+ resolution and the phone will have a dual rear camera setup with 24MP+16MP resolution and also on the front with 24MP+2MP. Huawei will also equip the phone with its latest GPU Turbo technology making it one of the first phones to come out with this technology after the Honor Play.
Huawei has announced to launch the Nova 3 on July 18. The announcement was made on the company’s official account on Weibo.
