As we are drawing closer to the launch of Huawei Mate 30 series, the rumor mill is working on extra time to reveal everything about the company’s upcoming smartphone.
As of now, many leaks and renders have not left too much to our imagination and thus, we have an idea about the specs of the upcoming Mate 30 Pro and Mate 30 Lite. Let’s break them down to see what features will Huawei introduce in its premium series in October.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro
Recently, we have received not renders but real-life images of Huawei Mate 30 Pro. As you can see in the following picture, Mate 30 Pro looks a lot similar to last year’s Mate 20 Pro and features a small dewdrop notch.
Seemingly the device is in the middle of some call test and is encased in a protective case that hides the design of the smartphone especially the camera arrangement at the back.
Looking at the phone’s screen, we can see that the display is curved on both sides so we can assume that the phone will come with any side bezels. The image also shows a pretty thin chin which will contribute towards the higher screen to body ratio.
According to the previous leaks, the flagship device will come with huge 6.71 inches of OLED display, Kirin 985 chipset and a massive 4,200mAh battery with 55W SuperCharge and reverse charging. The image of a leaked back panel also shows that the phone may come with a circular camera design at the back featuring four lenses.
As the leaked back panel does not have a cut out for a fingerprint sensor, we can hope that Huawei will introduce in-display fingerprint sensor for users.
At the same time, the leaked images of Mate 30 Lite reveal a square camera design so we have to wait some more to be sure whether the Chinese smartphone maker will stick to last year’s design or will make a massive change.
Huawei Mate 30 Lite
The people who love Huawei’s flagship series but cannot afford them always find solace in the Lite variant of the premium smartphone and in Mate 30’s case it will be Huawei Mate 30 Lite.
The first set of live images of Huawei Mate 30 Lite have already been leaked for the masses which show a small cutout for the front camera at the top left side of the screen while the back has a square-shaped camera array with a flash on the right side.
Reportedly, the smartphone will be launching as Huawei Nova 5i Pro in some markets including China come with 32MP selfie camera at the front. At the back, Mate 30 Lite will feature a quad-camera setup featuring 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP lenses.
The recent TENAA listing of Nova 5i Pro shows that the device will feature Huawei’s Kirin 810 chipset, a 3,900 mAh battery and will provide a choice between 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage.
Huawei will be launching Nova 5i Pro on 26th July in China and may introduce Mate 30 Lite for international users in October along with the rest of Mate 30 series.
