Chinese smartphones market in densely populated and competitive as well. With so many brands fighting for best sales figures, it becomes necessary to look outside China for greater revenue collection.
Huawei and Xiaomi are the only two Chinese brands that have seen significant growth in their market share and continue to do so in markets other than China. Both of the brands have already set huge sale targets.
Russia, for example, is a very huge market and Huawei has recently managed to beat Samsung with 31% of the total market share while Samsung stands at 30%.
The research was conducted by Counterpoint research, a firm responsible for statistical analysis of the market. It states that Huawei sold 2.84 million units of smartphones in Russia that almost equal to 1.665 billion Yuan of worth ($243 million).
Huawei itself claims that their smartphone sales hit the mark of 200 million in 2018 as compared to 153 million in 2017. This indicates a one-third increase in the annual smartphone sales by the Chinese giant.
Huawei already ranks second in the top 5 best selling smartphone brands and has increased its sales globally by almost 25% while Samsung has constantly been degrading in sales.
