Honor View 20 was partially showcased in China just recently for creating a pre-launch hype and boy it’s something amazing while it boats 48-megapixel rear camera, the highest so far, even surpassing the 40 MP Mate 20 Pro and 41 MP Nokia 808 Pureview.
The interesting part is Honor’s decision to go with a single lens in 2019 instead of following the design philosophy of multiple lenses that has even compelled HMD global to bring Nokia 9 with at least 5 rear cameras.
TechRadar reports Honor’s official confirmation about the launch of View 20 on January 22, 2019, global audience, however, in China, it will hit stores in December 2018.
Nothing much was conveyed in terms of specs to the audience but an all-view display and much awaited Samsung Galaxy S10 like in-display punched notch is part of the front panel that will house front selfie camera.
Although, the phone was covered with polystyrene mostly except for the front display for showing the screen resolution and the camera result on screen.
Camera samples of the phone have also surfaced giving us a good idea about the camera capabilities of the device.
The phone reportedly excels in the camera department while controlling everything with the help of software instead of separate lenses for depth and wide angle. The images were sharp and the zoom was quite impressive to experience on a screen which is expected to be 1080 x 2310 pixels in resolution.
We will keep an eye on the specs as they pop up but following is what we know about this phone.
Camera (rear) 48MP (Sony IMX586 sensor)
Screen 2310 x 1080px
OS Android Pie with latest EMUI 9 expected
RAM 6GB (expected as Honor View 10 had it)
