Honor, the newly born brand of Chinese giant, has released a newer and little-upgraded version of much-hyped Honor 10. Other than few changes in specs, the name of the phone also received a suffix of “GT” to the original name. Honor 10 GT is company’s first phone to feature 8GB of RAM.
Noticeably, this much RAM has never been provided by the industry’s top 2 brands i.e. Apple and Samsung. It’s always the Chinese brands that have come up with providing the users a feature packed phone in a much affordable price. OnePlus 6 and Honor 10 are the best examples of the case.
In addition, the cameras of the device received AIS (AI Image Stabilization) – a technology that works on the interaction of optical and electronic stabilization along with the integration of AI in the camera. For now, this feature is only available in Huawei P20 and P20 Pro.
Honor 10 GT is also equipped with the GPU Turbo technology which aims to improve graphics processing performance of the phone by 60% while reducing power consumption by 30% so that graphics intensive games run smoothly without much battery drainage.
The other specs of the Honor 10 GT are the same as the original model. The device is equipped with a 5.84-inch display. AI enabled Kirin 970 steals the performance show. In addition, it has 64/128 GB internal memory and a 3320 mAh battery with SuperCharge support. For the optics, it comes with a dual rear camera of 16 Mp + 20 Mp and a front camera of 24 Mp with Face Unlock.
Huawei Honor 10 GT will go on sale from July 24. It brings relatively few upgrades over the regular model and is rather aimed at promoting the gaming capabilities of Honor smartphones than an effort to offer anything substantially new to customers. Having said that, if the company offer this around in the same budget price like Honor 10, then it will be a remarkable step as consumers will be able to enjoy many cool features like AIS and GPU Turbo in an affordable price.
