The Pixel lineup has been very popular because of its superb cameras and beastly performance which makes the upcoming pixel flagship very desirable and anticipated. Until the actual launch of the phone, the leaks are always here to entertain us. Recently, alleged renders of Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3XL have surfaced online.
The renders were uploaded by the famous leaker who goes by @OnLeaks alongside which a 360º video of the two phones was also posted. The pictures clearly exhibit the design of Google Pixel 3 and 3XL.
Pixel 3XL comes with a notch on its front which goes in the display a bit deeper than we have already seen in different phones. Maybe that’s because the notch has to host a dual camera setup along with earpiece as shown in the renders. The chin of the phone is also pretty thick and hosts a front-facing speaker. Surprisingly the phone has only a single rear camera setup.
Google Pixel 3, on the other hand, is shown without a notch but sadly with thick enough bezels to make the phone look ugly. It also houses a dual camera setup on the front and a single camera at the back.
According to @OnLeaks, Pixel 3XL will host a 6.2-inch display and Pixel 3 will receive a manageable 5-inch display.
The back of both the phones seems to be made out of the glass with Google’s signature design; a matte finish to its lower end and a glossy look to its upper part. Dual camera setup may also be a hit that Google might be going for a 3D Face Recognition technology that is currently present only in iPhone X and Xiaomi Mi 8.
The design of the phones is not impressive at all and in an age of bezel-less smartphones. The design in Google Pixel 3 and 3XL really needs to be thought out well to match the current trends in the industry or Google’s idea of thick bezels may be the demise of the phones. Interestingly, according to some leaks, a midrange Pixel phone is also in the works.
