The Korean giant is gearing up to venture in new areas of radical and innovative design for its upcoming flagship, Galaxy S10, which is worth all the excitement and hype. Rumors have it that the upcoming big gun will sport triple rear cameras, the world’s first ’ultrasonic’ in-display reader, new gradient color schemes and a dramatic redesign. However, a recent leak suggests much more than that.
The Wall Street Journal has exclusively revealed Samsung is planning to launch an even more radical flagship Galaxy S10 which will push boundaries beyond anything earlier seen from the company. Suitably, it’s codenamed the ‘Beyond X.’
Samsung’s Beyond X will have six cameras, a massive 6.7-inch display, and built-in 5G and will come as the highest variant in the Galaxy S10 lineup.
Rumors are already circulating about three variants of S10, the regular 5.8-inch Galaxy S10, a 6.4-inch Galaxy S10+ and a new budget Galaxy S10 (S10 Lite may be) designed to take on Apple’s iPhone XR. The ‘Beyond X’ phone will sit as a top variant in this line-up.
The report says that Samsung is also likely to equip this variant with ‘reverse charging’ similar to Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro which allows the phone to charge connected devices. This suggests the Beyond X will have a significantly bigger battery as well.
Another fresh batch of leaks from the famous ice universe suggests what the screen of the phones will look like. The leaker posted images of screen protectors on his twitter handle that show a minimal chin at the bottom and the screen taking up almost all the front space.
SamMobile also reports the Beyond X with additional detail that the said version will feature a ceramic back in black and white color schemes.
The leaker also gave away the Infinity-O screen in the Galaxy S10 which I think is not the real image, rather a photoshopped version. That’s a display with a camera cutout somewhere at the top, where the selfie cam would be placed. As per the leaks, Samsung will use an HIAA (Hole In Active Area) technology to punch through the screen with the help of lasers which is going to be an exclusive Samsung tech for a period.
