If you liked the last year’s Note 8, you’ll love its successor, Galaxy Note 9. Although the phone isn’t official yet, there is plenty of talk going around in the industry regarding the specs and design of the phone. Here is an accumulation of all the major leaks and rumors hovering around the upcoming Note flagship.
Benchmark results of a mysterious Samsung device have surfaced up recently on Geekbench database and the internet is going crazy over it.
This mystery device of Samsung said to be the Note 9. Apparently, the model number of the phone is SM-N960U which lines up perfectly in the Samsung model numbering system with Galaxy Note 9.
Leaker Evan Blass has leaked on Twitter that the codename for Galaxy Note 9 is going to be “Crown”.

Recently a new certification has emerged on the official website of Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology where two devices are certified namely SM-N9600 and SM-N9608 which could very likely be the Exynos and Qualcomm Snapdragon variants of the Galaxy Note 9.
A renowned tipster Ice Universe claims that Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will not receive any major changes in design than the last year’s Note 8. Ice universe has been known for his the authenticity of his information about Samsung phones. He was also the first to leak the exact specs of Note 8 as well.
The leaker also posted an image of the upcoming Note phone on Twitter and it appears to be virtually identical to its last year predecessor. We can also see that Samsung has decided to keep the Bixby button below the volume rocker as well.
Recently AndroidHeadlines, a reputed tech website, obtained a render of the phone which it claims to be the official rendering of the phone. There is not much to extract from the image. According to the image, the phone keeps the exact same shape of its predecessor with minimal bezels on the top and bottom of the infinity display.

Although this monotonous design might be a disappointment for some users, for the people who don’t want the notorious notch on their phones, it is quite a breath of fresh air to see that Samsung has made a statement here by not including the notch in Galaxy Note 9.
Another leak from GizmoChina makes things a little more interesting and suggests that the company will adjust the awkward position of the fingerprint scanner on the Note 8 and will move it to below the dual rear cameras.
As much as we wanted to see and on-screen fingerprint sensor, disappointingly Galaxy Note 9 is said to come with a traditional fingerprint. This means it will have a sensor on the back just like the Note 8. But we do hope that Samsung fixes the awkward placement of fingerprint sensor in the Note 9 just like it did in the S9 and S9+.
Being a 2018 Flagship, it is necessary for the upcoming Note flagship to be equipped with all the latest goodies to be able to compete with the likes of Huawei P20 Pro and the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix 3.
As expected, Galaxy Note 9 is likely to be equipped with Snapdragon 845 accompanied by 6 GB and 8GB RAM depending upon different storage variants which might be 64GB and 128GB. It’s also predicted that Note 9 will have a 3850 mAh or a 4000 mAh battery which is a huge upgrade over 3300 mAh of Note 8.
According to a report by Bloomberg, the phone will have a revamped camera setup that will even perform better than the Galaxy S9+.
One of the most talked about features of the Galaxy Note 9 is its S Pen which will receive the biggest update in the history. The pen may come with Bluetooth connectivity that will allow the pen to perform different actions remotely.
There is also talk in the industry about the S Pen is a Bluetooth speaker, the idea is backed by the rumor that the pen will also come with a battery of its own.

The Samsung event invites also feature a picture of the S Pen which signifies the importance of hardware update that the S pen will get in the Note 9. According to IceUniverse, it may be able to control long-range self-timer, music playback or even camera shutter.
Galaxy Note 9 remains the most anticipated phone of the year and is set to launch on August 9 in an “unpacked event” in New York but more and more leaks are sure to slip over until the official launch of the phone so stay tuned to get the latest updates about the phone.
