Almost all the smartphone manufacturers are now branching out with their sub-brands. Huawei has Honor, Oppo had Realme, which has now become a standalone company. Similarly, Vivo also announced the Iqoo sub-brand a couple of days back and guess what just happened? A Vivo IQOO phone has just surfaced on the internet and it’s a foldable device.
It seems Vivo is so much enthusiastic in meeting the industry trends of 2019, that it announced a whole new sub-brand for such experimental projects. This foldable device is aimed to rival the Samsung’s foldable phone and the one earlier showcased by Xiaomi.
The renders are quite delivering and show that the phone is going to be quite tall. Unlike the double folding design by Xiaomi or the inside fold like the Samsung’s device, it will fold at the outside. This means that even when folded, it will screen on both sides. While we are not sure how the software will work with that, it’s certainly a fascinating idea.
The unfolding of the device turns it into a big tablet as seen in the renders. Could both screens be used at the same time? How durable will the screens be? There are so many questions which makes this device even more anticipating.
There is not much available on the device, however it can clearly be noticed that the leaked renders show no sign of buttons on the phone. There are two possibilities about this. Either this Vivo IQOO phone will adopt the same button-less approach as teh Vivo Apex 2019, also knows as the waterdrop phone, or these are very early renders and we might see buttons in the next leaked render.
Whatever the case may be, Vivo IQOO phone has got us pretty excited and now that we think about it, it will pose a serious competition in the race of foldable phones as long as Chinese manufacturers are concerned.
