Long have we been teased about the upcoming Samsung foldable phone and the company even showed off a prototype too but now, the wait is finally going to be over as Samsung has officially announced the launch date of its foldable phone, also known as Galaxy F or Galaxy X.
The phone will come along with the most anticipated Galaxy S10. While there are so many expectations from the Korean giant regarding its upcoming flagship, this news will heat up things even more.
Samsung has teased a video on its Twitter handle with the caption “The future of mobile will unfold on February 20, 2019.” and although the video does not divulge anything about the launch of Samsung foldable phone, it says “The Future Unfolds” in both Korean and English. The text in the video is also rounded at the corners as if the screen was folded.

As for the specs of the device, the Samsung foldable phone will comprise of 2 screens. A smaller 4.58-inch, and a considerably larger 7.3-inch display. The smaller one will have an aspect ratio of 21:9 and will have a 1960 x 480 resolution while the large display will have a 2152 x 1536 resolution and a 4.2:3 aspect ratio.
We are just almost a week away from the Samsung Unpacked event so we’ll eventually know everything there is to know. Moreover, after that MWC 2019 is kicking off at Barcelona which is also expected to kickstart a year of 5G phones, foldable phone, and many other innovative mobile phone technologies.
